Washington's 4th Grade celebrated our great state with a birthday party full of notable Nebraskans! Parents enjoyed students introducing their characters, our state song, time to mingle, and refreshments.
Happy birthday to Nebraska on March 1st!
Congrats on all your hard work and research into these famous Nebraskans, 4th Grade! What a great learning experience, Mrs. McIntosh!

Washington's 5th Grade Ambassadors have begun practicing open-ended questions and other relationship-building skills. They've discovered people are typically more comfortable when they can talk a little about themselves. This also allows them to get to know others!

Washington's 2nd graders learned so much at Ag Safety Day yesterday. Everything from chemicals to power lines (which was a favorite of many!).
💡 Did You Know? 💡 Electricity does more damage inside our bodies than outside. Always be observant if power lines are near when your climbing trees or flying kites!
Being safe at home and on the farm is a must in our area. Make sure to ask your child what they learned!

Yesterday evening, our Washington Student Ambassadors had the honor of being a "Spotlight" at the North Platte Public School Board meeting. The Ambassadors' Council members represented both the Ambassadors team and school very well! They shared a little about what our Ambassadors do throughout the school year and their hopes for the future. These students take joy and pride in both serving and representing Washington. We are proud of how they're growing and developing their leadership skills and can't wait to see them continue to lead in greater arenas as the years go on! We are proud of this team! Thank you for representing tonight, ladies! You did a great job! #WashingtonOhana #WildcatEra #AmbassadorsLead #GrowingUpTogether #BrightFutures
