Hello, Wildcat Families! This is an important announcement from Kids Klub regarding CLOSED dates for Parent Teacher Conferences.
Washington Elementary will have NO Kids Klub on Tuesday, Feb 6 or Wednesday, Feb 7th.

Washington students nominate teachers & staff each week to share why that person is so great. This week's Spotlight Teacher is Miss Magallanes. One student said she teaches them new things; another said she checks on them often to make sure they're okay.
Congrats on being our Wildcat Spotlight Teacher, Miss M!!

Happy Prize Day Thursday, Wildcats!! Here are some Washington students who displayed the Washington Way over the past two school weeks (December - January). Keep up the good work!!

Happy New Year!

Happy Last Day!! These North Pole representatives wish you the merriest of holidays!! Enjoy break!!

Today’s Guidance lesson is my FAVORITE lesson of the year! Each year before break, we read “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas”. And each year? These awesome students of ours dig a little deeper and understand this season a little bit more. I love seeing them grow in understanding and love! Check out our Facebook page to see student quotes from today. PLEASE - Feel free to share any thoughts you come up with as a family to explain how Christmas (or whatever you celebrate this holiday season) “doesn’t come from a store,” and how we live that out in our lives each day! Happy holidays! - Mrs. Simmons

Hooray! Final Prize Day! ...of 2023.
These Wildcats earned Washington Way tickets by being kind, safe, respectful, responsible, positive influences. AND their names were drawn today for prizes! Keep up the good work, kids!

Prize Day Thursday is HERRRRRE!!
These awesome Wildcats were caught being safe, responsible, kind, respectful, positive influences over the last couple weeks. No doubt Santa is very proud, as are we!!
Three cheers for our friends!! Way to go, Wildcats! Keep it up!!

Hello, Wildcats families! In Guidance today we learned (& relearned) about how to stay safe - at home, in public, and online! If you're curious about bathing suits in December... we used those to explain private areas on our bodies and how to protect our body boundaries! Any body parts that a swimsuit covers are private! We talked about trusted adults (parents, teachers, other family members, cops, etc.) and what to do if someone tries to harm us. I encouraged each student to talk with their families at home tonight about everything they learned as well as asking guardians if their families may have additional rules to keep safe. I love hearing the creative rules and ideas students share from their families' conversations about keeping safe. I learn something new each year, too!

Just a reminder please be mindful of the bus stop cones they are in a spot reserved for our school buses to pick up and drop off our students safely. Please do not move them and if you a currently parked were a cones were please find a different parking area. Thank you

Mrs. Simmons' 5 Grade Ambassadors had their last meeting before break. They were doing ALL sorts of goal-writing to prep for creating vision boards in January! Wild evening!
