VGBB: Halftime has our Bulldogs up 12-9 over GINW.
Due to continued predictions of heavy snow, freezing temperatures, and hazardous travel conditions, North Platte Public Schools will be closed on Wednesday, January 18, 2023. This includes all schools and facilities. Additionally, all NPPS travel, activities, programs, or events, including but not limited to academic or athletic practices, Kids Klub, walking clubs, or events hosted at any NPPS location, are canceled.
The NPHS Speech team competed in 2 tournaments over the weekend - The Central Nebraska Forensics League (CNFL #1) and the Words Have Power MLK Jr Day Invite at NPHS.
Overall we had some great performances and some great feedback. This Saturday, we travel to Lincoln Southwest to face some Eastern Nebraska-style speech and a chance to face some district competition.
At the Words Have Power tournament we had 4 tournament champions, 7 Second place finishers, 6 third placers, and 45 total medalists.
As a team we took home 2nd place in varsity and 1st place novice.

At the CNFL we had 18 medalists with 2 second place finishes. The CNFL is a much larger tournament with nearly 50 entries per event, meaning these individuals really rose to the challenge and performed well. Our novice took home 3rd place honors as a team.
