July 26, 2022
Good afternoon NPHS parents and students,
We are nearing the beginning of the 2022-23 school year. Periodically, we will be sharing information that will inform both students and parents of the practices we will have in place for our students during the school day. Today’s message is regarding drop off and pick up procedures.
In the time leading up to the school day, the area by the flagpole can become quite congested. If students are being dropped off, various locations around the property can be used. On the West of the school, along Jefferson street, cars traveling North can pull over and drop off along the no parking lane painted yellow. Also, on the North side of the parking lot, along 2nd street, cars traveling East can also drop off students along that sidewalk. In either location, please pull over to the right side of the street along the curb and not stop in the driving lane.
If you choose to drop your child off at the entrance, please keep the pace of traffic moving to minimize the congestion.
Remember that breakfast is served from 7:15 AM to 8:00 AM and that school begins at 8:05 am every day. Please help your student get to school by 8:00 AM so they can get to their assigned class on time each day and not be assigned a tardy or absence. Please plan to drop your child off between 7:15 AM and 8:00 AM. If your child arrives after 8:00, a second chance cart will be serving breakfast after Bulldog time on (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday) and after Block 1 on Wednesday. Breakfast will continue to be served at NO COST to students this school year.
After school, students can be picked up at the same locations around the high school property.
With Bulldog Pride,
Cory Spotanski
NPHS Principal
