Daily Announcements

Want to be a part of the greatest group of all time?!  Applications for next year's Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors who are interested in running for a Student Council representative position, will be available today, April 7th,  in the Activities’ Office.  Please make sure you grab the correct application as each grade is a different color.  Completed applications are due to Mrs. Streeter in the Activities’ Office or to Mr. Bruck in room 2201 by 3:45pm on Wednesday, April 13th.  Late submissions will NOT be accepted.  Voting will take place Wednesday, April 20th, and you will vote only for your grade.  The link will be in your email.  Members will be announced Monday, April 23rd, in the morning announcements.


Pre-Med Club will be meeting today, April 7th.  We will be taking a tour of the Great Plains Health hospital, and getting some exposure to the different departments. We will be meeting at 7 pm at the main entrance. Contact president Elleigh Fisher with any questions.



Are you bummed that your NCAA bracket was busted in the first round?  Never fear! The 2023 Musical Bracket is here!  Pick one up in the choir room today to fill out and return by tomorrow, April 8th to see if you can correctly choose our next musical!  Prizes will be awarded to those who choose the correct show!  Clues will be put out on our Twitter pages @MusicalNphs and @NPHSChoir next week, revealing the 2023 show on Wednesday, April 13th!  Join us for some fun!


All 9-11 grade girls interested in wrestling should be looking for an email from Mr. Cudney this week.  Please fill out the survey so we can see what kind of interest we have in starting a girls wrestling team in the near future.




There will be NO Dungeons and Dragons Club on Monday, April 11th.  The next meeting will be on Monday, April 25th.



Prom is just around the corner!   Mrs. Persinger will begin handing out guest forms in the Main Office through Wednesday, April 13th.  

  • All guest forms are due back no later than NOON on Thursday, April 21st.  Remember, in order to get a guest form you must have all fees and fines paid. 
  • You can check your own fees and fines on your student portal 
  • Tickets can be purchased starting Monday, April 11th in the Main Office!  
  • Tickets will be $20.00 each. 
  • Prom is scheduled for Saturday, April 23rd from 8:00 PM-11:00 PM

Hey seniors, nomination forms for Prom Royalty can be picked up in the Activities Office. Forms are due back to Mrs. Streeter no later than 3:30pm on Wednesday, April 13th.  



Want to go to Washington D.C for 5 days to visit the memorials, museums, and to see how our government works? Mr. Bruck and Mr. Milton are holding a Close Up informational meeting on Wednesday, April 13th. The meeting will be immediately after school at 2:25 pm in Room 2201.  Come see what Close Up is all about!

Undergraduate Awards Night will be held Wednesday, April 27thA list of qualifying students has been posted on the bulletin board next to the Counselor's Office. Please check to see if you qualify. If you have any questions or don't see your name on the list and you think it should be please see Mrs. Schumacher in the Counselor's Office as soon as possible.

Attention Seniors: If you have received a scholarship or award, and would like it recognized at Senior Awards Night on Wednesday, April 20th and printed in the commencement program, please email or bring a copy of your notification to Mrs. Schumacher in the Counselor's Office by tomorrow, April 8th.  

Seniors!! Senior Signing day is April 12th & 13th. What is Senior Signing Day you ask? Senior Signing day is when YOU (ALL Seniors) get to come into the Career Center and sign your name and what you will do after high school on the 2022 Senior Banner.  Are you going to work at Menards? Tell us about it!
Are you going to UNO? Tell us about it!  Are you going to sail around the world, hike the Appalachian Trail, work as a relief milker on a farm in New Zealand?? We WANT to know! Stop by the Career Center on April 12th and 13th and let us know what your plans are once you graduate! **Special treat included!

Sign up Now.png  The FBI Omaha Division is offering a summer Teen Academy at the Omaha Field Office on July 21. This is for anyone who will be a high school junior or senior next year. If you are interested, please talk to Mrs. Odle in Rm 2517 and she will get you an application and answer any questions you may have. It is a competitive application process. The deadline to apply is 4/29/22.
