Fellowship of Christian Athletes will meet today, March 2nd at 8 pm in the Dawg Pound. Come join us for fun games and engaging conversations.
Today, March 2nd is National Honor Society's annual blood drive. Teachers, please excuse the NHS students and donors. The list was sent to your email. Student donors, please wait for us to come get you from your classes. Drink lots of water today to stay hydrated. A reminder that all present at the blood drive must wear a mask. We will have extra masks.
The High School Support Group will meet today, March 2nd at 2:30pm in room 1205. This group is for any student struggling with unhealthy or violent relationships, violence at home or sexual assault and is open to grades 9 - 12 and all genders.
Student Council's annual MORP Dance will be held Friday, March 4th. The theme is Teen Beach Movie: Surfers vs Bikers! On the night of the dance, Seniors & Sophomores will dress up as surfers and Juniors & Freshmen will dress up as Bikers. Please refer to the fliers around the school for direction on attire. Doors for the dance will open at 8:00pm, and the dance will end at 11:00pm. Bring your ID and pay at the door!!! Cost is only $5.00! Student Council thanks you!

4th Term Career Interns...Listen carefully. If you are signed up for a 4th term Career Internship, check your email and respond to Mr. Reed. In an effort to get you placed quickly at the beginning of the term, you need to have your applications in to Mr. Reed prior to the start of the term. If you were planning on doing an internship at Great Plains Health, you will not be able to do so due to Covid.
Intramural Volleyball games start on Monday, March 7th! There will be a brief meeting in room 1209 that you must be at if you're planning on creating a team. Can't make it? See Mrs. Flamel in room 1209 anytime this week.
Are you interested in trying out for the NPHS Varsity Cheer team? If so, there will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, March 8th, at 7:00 p.m. in room 2201. Practices will begin March 14th, with tryouts being held on Wednesday, March 23rd after school. Pick up a tryout packet in the Activities Office. Tamina Hartman and Sandra Mejia are organizing a trip to Europe in June 2023. We will travel throughout various parts of France and Spain. This is a great opportunity to see new places and practice speaking another language! There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, March 16th at 6:30pm in room 2308 at the high school. If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact Hartman or Mejia.

Come join us at Mid Plains Inter High day to show off your mad skills! Sign up in the counseling office to qualify.
Interested in trying out for the spring play? Stop by Mrs. McDaniel's room to pick up an audition packet and hear more about the suspenseful thriller we are doing this year! Auditions will be March 24-25th.
If you plan marching in the Bulldog Marching Band, please come down and sign up in the band room 1611!! We are always looking for people to play, even if you haven't played before!
Are you interested in attending UNK? Would you like a chance to see the campus? On Wednesday, March 23rd you can join us on a college visit to UNK! Please sign up in the counseling office by March 9th. Space is limited.
Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) – The Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) is awarded annually to a current sophomore or junior in the high school who have demonstrated leadership in school, community or place of worship. As a RYLA recipient, the students attend an all expenses paid, five-night conference (July 12 – July 17, 2022) in the beautiful Nebraska National Forest near Halsey, Nebraska, about 80 miles north of North Platte. This camp brings together a special group of young men and women to share ideas about becoming better leaders. Applications can be found at https://greatplainsryla.org/apply and must be submitted on-line no later than March 31, 2022. See Mrs. Horne in the Counselor's Office for more information.
Attention Seniors: If you have received a scholarship or award, and would like it recognized at Senior Awards Night on Wednesday, April 20th and printed in the commencement program, please email or bring a copy of your notification to Mrs. Schumacher in the Counselor's Office by Friday, April 8th. (All scholarships can be turned in for recognition even if you don't plan on attending the college that awarded the scholarship but grants or loans will be included.)
