Monday, Feb. 26th
FCS Club will be meeting on Monday, Feb 26th to design some rooms. We will meet in room 2517 at 6:30pm. There will be snacks.
Interested in joining cheer or pacers? Monday, Feb. 26th at 6:00pm in the NPHS main gym we invite students to come to the showcase and get feedback or tips from the current members. This will also be open to anyone that did not get the opportunity to attend state and would like to watch the state routines.
- Thursday, March 7th 6:00 pm at NPHS commons student/parent meeting for cheer
- Monday, March 18 Tryout practices begin - Packets and eligibility items from the activities office must be completed to attend practice.
The Chess Club will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 27th in Mr. Seybold's Room 1205 right after school. Hope to see you there!
SWEET AFFAIR OF THE ARTS - Hey Bulldogs, are you interested in supporting your local fine arts friends??? Are you tired of the same old Middle School two-step, Griddy, or W-Step??? Come on out to the High School Commons on Tuesday, February 27th, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and see some live performances, student art, purchase student made crafts, and sample some dessert! NEW this year, students and parents are invited to join us from 7:00-8:00 PM as Robert and Christine Nelson lead a beginner Swing Dance class just in time for you to swing it up at the Sock Hop! There will be a $5 cover charge at the door and items for sale on sight. We hope to see you there!
Sock Hop Dance will be held on Friday, March 1st from 8:00-11:00 PM
- Tickets can be purchased at the door for $5.00
- Guest passed are now available from Mrs. Persinger in the Main Office. All fees and fines must be paid in order to pick up a form.
- Guest forms are due back no later than Wednesday, Feb. 28th @ 3:00 PM
Freshman please remember that the Kearney Bound application is due on Friday, March 1st. Please see one of the counselors if you need help completing it.
Attention: Any groups or individuals that need volunteer hours. Volunteers are needed to help with the Autism Kidstock Carnival. We will need help with set up on Friday, March 8th in the afternoon until mid evening. We will also need help with running the carnival on Saturday, March 9th from around 10:00am-4:00pm and tear down after that. If you or your organization is interested, please contact Janet Henne or see Mrs. Schumacher in the Counselor's Office for contact information.
Sophomores & Juniors! Are you curious about what the University of Nebraska in Kearney has to offer? Do you want to check out their campus and see if UNK is the right fit for you? Come join us for a college visit on March 20th! Sign up in the counseling office by March 12th.
Juniors! Are you a leader? Are you interested in government, politics, and good citizenship? Do you like to connect with other like-minded leaders? Girls' and Boys' State is an event just for YOU! Girls' and Boys' state takes place June 2-8 in Lincoln. If you would like to know more, please see Mrs. Quiroz in the counseling office.
Reminder: Dual Credit representatives will be in the Counselor's Office Conference Room every Monday for the rest of the year from 8:00am - Noon. Be sure to see them if you have any questions about your Dual Credit classes. In addition to dual credit help, MPCC representatives can help you with general college advising such as seeing if your dual credit college credits transfer to in-state and out of state colleges, seeing if a college offers a program you are interested in, and more.
