Summer is here and we encourage your students to continue their literacy growth with myON! Students have access to thousands of digital books on myON. So, they can keep on reading about topics they like, explore a new subject they are curious about, or learn more about the people and places that are part of their lives. Because myON is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, students can read every day, anytime, and anywhere they have an Internet connection. They can even download books to read offline using free mobile apps. You can find details about mobile apps at https://help.renaissance.com/myON/myon-apps. Your students will be able to keep track of their reading progress on myON, too. And they can share that information with you. We encourage you to help your students establish summer reading goals and help them celebrate when they reach those goals. Reading every day is important—and reading is fun! We are so excited to invite ALL North Platte students and staff to our summer picture days – every grade, every building, every person! Choose from three dates and hundreds of time options to schedule your family's school picture session at the North Platte High School commons area. A week or two after your pictures are taken, you'll get an email with instructions to view your images and order online – that means no paper order forms to remember, and no paying for pictures before you see them. Getting school pictures taken this summer will not only save you time, but allows parents to be part of the fun (and ensures guardian-approved smiles!). Plus, secondary students who see us this summer will have an updated photo on their school IDs.
