Washington Elementary celebrated Inclusion Week in a BIG way! Throughout the day, the school combined Guidance and PE specials time with the help of their SPED teacher. Activities included an intro lesson about inclusion, followed by a variety of engagement activities allowing students to learn new ways of playing games and interacting with others. The experience taught students to notice and help all classmates to be included. The staff who organized this event are Victoria Simmons (school counselor), Sally Becker (PE teacher), and Lexi Blackburn (special education teacher).
