Substitute Teacher Applications
North Platte Public School continuously accepts Substitute Teacher applications throughout the school year. To apply online, enter the North Platte Public Schools Employment Opportunities. When completing a substitute teacher application, please include email addresses for your references and upload your original transcripts and teaching certificate to prevent delays in processing your application.
All substitutes must schedule a short interview with the Human Resources office.
Local Substitute Teachers
Local substitute teachers are those who hold a bachelor's degree (or higher) in something other than education or a minimum of sixty (60) semester college credit hours, including one professional education course dealing with the education of children and completion of Human Relations Training (http://www.education.ne.gov/tcert/HumanRelationsTrainReq.html). In addition to the above requirements, an applicant must ask the HR office to submit a letter from NPPSD to the Nebraska Department of Education requesting issuance.
