Rhonda Larson, Principal
Hello Lincoln Lions! I'm Rhonda Larson and this is my second year as the Lincoln Elementary Principal. I am excited and honored to be here.
I was born and raised in Alaska and come to you with over 30 years of experience. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Alaska Southeast (UAS), a Master of Arts in Cross-Cultural Studies from the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF), and a Master's License for K-12 Principal from the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA). I have teaching experience at both the middle school and high school level and have overseen districtwide K-12 Indian Education and English Language Learner grants. I have also served as an associate professor of education at UAS program managing a grant that recruited/trained Alaska Native students to become teachers and as an adjunct professor responsible for teaching the Advanced Multicultural Course for K-12 teachers. My last position in Alaska was serving as the assistant principal for Thunder Mountain High School in Juneau for 13 years.
My husband and I have a blended family of seven children and five grandchildren (with one on the way). Family time is our most treasured time! In our spare time, we love to fish as well as watch our favorite sports teams compete. With that...any fishing stories would be most welcomed!!
While Alaska is in my heart and soul, I love calling Nebraska my home and I am ecstatic to be a part of North Platte! The "Canteen Spirit" embodies generosity, selflessness, and unwavering support through service, pride, collaboration and grit. I'm looking forward to continuing to work with our families so that together we may instill the "Canteen Spirit" in our Lincoln Lions!
